This year will mark my 3rd year at Ronan Middle School. These past years have been an amazing experience, and I can't wait to start this year with a new group of students and parents! Here's a few facts about me...
- I was born in Missoula and grew up in Frenchtown, MT.
- I played college softball in Washington after high school, and I'm currently the Head Coach for the Ronan Maiden's High School Team.
- My first degree was actually not in education, but in Psychology.
- I have a second degree in Sociology.
- I received my Masters in Education in August 2014 from the University of Montana.
- I completed my student teaching in Missoula, and was blessed to spend 8 weeks of my student teaching in Guiyang, China. I taught 5th and 6th grade English. It was a once in a lifetime experience, and I'm so glad I was able to be part of it!
- I love to play sports and being outdoors: softball, volleyball, basketball, golf, camping, hunting, fishing, etc.
- I'm a 3rd generation Grizzly and a 3rd generation teacher! Go Griz! :)
- My husband, James, and I just had our daughter, Ayla, in July 2016. This is the reason I wasn't able to start the school year with you! She's been the best blessing we could've asked for!
- We live in town and can typically be seen walking our two dogs, Maverick (black lab) and Kaddis (our small pound puppy), around Ronan, or fishing at Nine Pipes and Kicking Horse Reservoirs.
- I have only 1 sibling--a sister, Morgan, who teaches choir at Florence-Carlton High School.
- My father was an art teacher before becoming a sales consultant for various educational companies, and my mother has been a teacher for 20+ years in Missoula.
